Had posted a mention already but did not quite work out the scoring system right but can tell you it is a wonderful place to stay well worth checking out. "Excellent value"Stayed at the Kelvingrove last night and my husband and I were delighted with our room. It had a very large comfortable bed. The shower was very good and we had plenty of hot water. Considering the price we paid, I don't think you will get better value than this. I liked it so much I have booked for two other separate occasions. I must make a point of mentioning the staff. Well, they were just so friendly, kind and helpful. What more can you ask for? "Couldn't have asked for a friendlier hotel"A group of friends and I stayed at this hotel over Hogmanay. The rooms were large, modern and very tidy. The beds were comfy and the showers were great (especially when you're used to London water pressure). And overall the stay was very reasonably priced. The staff at the Kelvingrove were so friendly. They asked us several times if there was anything else we needed and they were even very polite when we stumbled in on new years eve (and one of us got locked out of his room in his pants). On the day we left, we arrived at the train station to find out we might not be able to get back to London that night. When I called the hotel, i was told they would be happy to put us up again and would even give us a discount. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're in Glasgow! "Fantastic Room"Deserves its ranking on this website. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff--free use of internet/computer at reception area. Booked for a single but received a massive double bed with ensuite at no extra charge. Extremely clean and serviced daily. Room was ready even though I arrived much earlier than check in time. Bus stop a block outside front door or a 15 min walk into city centre. £13.50 fixed rate prepaid taxi to glasgow international airport from hotel door can be arranged by reception. Very reasonable rates & rooms are superb. Highly Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel. FANTASTIC VALUE!
