Kelvingrove Baby! Print E-mail
Written by Sandy

The Kelvingrove Hotel remains a family run business, and as of the 8th of January that family became a little bit larger.

Baby 'Zoe' was born in the early hours of the 8th and came in at a heavy 9 Pounds 7 Oz!

Despite her size, we will not be expecting her to start work at the hotel quite yet!

Pictured here are Muriel and the Zoe ( - generations 1 and 4 of the Kelvingrove Team!)

Whisky Bars in Glasgow Print E-mail

If you are hoping to sample some of Scotland's national drink during your stay,  you are spoilt for choice; with Glasgow hosting some of Scotland's finest Whisky Bars.

The Lios Mor  -  situated in Partick, 10 minutes from our front door. A popular choice with the locals, with live music most nights and real Glasgow feel to it.

Ben Nevis - just around the corner. The Ben Nevis is Whisky Bar which combines the elements of a modern pub with a Scottish feel to it, including live music on Thursdays and Fridays.

Uisge Beathe - A fifteen minute walk across the park.  The bar takes it's name from Gaelic, meaning 'water of life', well known for its kilted bar staff and welcoming atmosphere.

Oran Mor - A twenty minute walk in the heart of Glasgow's West End. This buzzing club, bar and venue is a great place to sample a few drams.
